Superior Court provides interpreters for all non-English speaking defendants, parties and witnesses needed during courtroom proceedings in the following case types:
- Criminal, juvenile, traffic and domestic violence matters
- 24 hours notice is required for Spanish interpreters
- 72 hours notice is required for all other interpreters
Arrangements for an interpreter may be made by contacting Courtroom Operations at (805) 781-5149 or submitting the following document by fax (805) 781-1071 or in person:
Superior Court will not provide interpreters for the following:
- Civil, small claims and family law matters
- Matters outside of court proceedings
